Courage in Motion 2018

Cycling through Israel to support wounded Israeli veterans

In October 2018, Rick and Jane cycled in Israel - through the desert and around Jerusalem - to raise money in support of Israeli wounded veterans. Since the founding of Israel in 1948, over 51,000 Israeli men and women have been wounded while defending the State of Israel. Beit Halochem is an organization that supports the rehabilition of these wouded Israeli veterans using sports and athletics. The Courage in Motion Ride has been raising money to support all the cycling activities of these centres. Many wounded veterans use cycling as their primary rehabilitation - including hand cycles, tandem bikes and regualr bkes. Many of these cyclist have gotton so good at it that they have competed internationally and medaled including at the Para Olympics.
